Pulsantes (Alphas)
An artificial life environment that generates rythms and sounds. Agents move freely, guided by their own will, adapting to the medium forces. They send messages to their friends, that get get frozen when receiving this messages, and then awaken. You can ‘play live’ with this creatures, altering the way they react to outer forces, running away, freezing or wandering. It is planned to add wind and realtime control on the forces with midi knobs, and some regeneration of inner rythms.
PureData receives ‘pulses’ generated by the internal micro-sequencers of each ‘pulsante’, triggering sounds. The background forces modulate the sonic ambient.
All it’s just Alpha developing, and I mixed several different versions of the work in progress, from the first little bugs to the more complex actual environment.
I just saw Tiction on Create Digital Music, and thought I should share this early version.
